Supervision

Regular clinical supervision is a vital part of every therapist’s professional practice. It provides a dedicated space for therapists to reflect deeply on their work with the support of an experienced supervisor. Within this relationship, therapists are encouraged to explore challenges openly, enabling them to better support the individuals they work with.

Many of our MTB therapists bring years of clinical experience across a wide range of client groups, along with extensive expertise in supervising other music therapists.

If you would like one of our therapists to provide supervision, please contact Anna at anna.jacobs@musictherapybedfordshire.co.uk. She will discuss your needs with you and coordinate with the team to find the therapist best suited to your requirements.

We also offer supervision to other support staff who are not therapists. The individuals we work with often present complex challenges that can affect staff both inside and outside the therapy room. These challenges may arise from experiences such as trauma and/or bereavement. They can sometimes impact relationships with staff, evoking difficult emotions in those supporting them.

Supervision with an MTB therapist offers a safe, non-judgemental space where staff can reflect on these experiences and the emotions they bring up. This process can help staff develop healthier ways of supporting the individuals in their care and foster more positive relationships.

Group supervision is also available for teams.

Fees for supervision will be agreed upon once a supervising therapist has been assigned but are currently in the region of £45-55 per hour for individuals.
